Challenge
Skylight grew in headcount, but was losing 500+ unbilled hours every month due to poor methods of tracking time and utilization. Both leadership and employees needed a simple, reliable system to track work and stay aligned.
Role
As the design lead, I shaped the company’s time-management tool from concept to launch. I partnered directly with the C-suite to align the interface with company policy, led research and usability testing across user roles, and collaborated closely with engineers through delivery.
Impact
- 12% increase in billable hours ($240K in revenue)
- Reduced leadership’s manual reporting time from 1 hour to under 15 minutes per pay period
